Cause of the month
Weaving, with you, a community of mutual aid and support
Contributing to the well-being of the community is part of our corporate mission, which is why we have introduced the Cause of the Month program.
Each month, we select a cause that particularly touches us and for which we wish to raise funds. For each order placed online at ecogriffe.com, $1 will go directly to the cause of the month .
OCTOBRE 2024
MIA ♡

CATHY ♡
Cathy, 43 years old, a loyal member of our Écogriffe community, has just learned that she must face the worst possible scenario… colorectal cancer.
The fear, stress and anxiety of having to go through these weeks of treatment was very present, but despite everything Cathy keeps smiling and her positive side keeps her focused!
The only way to win against the disease is to do chemotherapy (8 days in total) and radiotherapy (about 6 weeks) and she decides to fight and go for it... she embarks on the process without hesitation.
In addition to coming with its share of side effects, the treatments also come with a mandatory work stoppage. That's why we decided to help him.
If you would also like to support Cathy, click to access her gofundme campaign above:
DECEMBER 2023
TINA ♡
This December, we decided to help in our own way a family that recently arrived in Shawinigan. Tina and her husband had been planning to come to Canada for years. They chose Quebec, and more specifically Shawinigan, for its proximity to nature.
Between paperwork, visas and delays, their process stretched out over several years, and it was pregnant that Tina finally set foot in Quebec. Despite the insurance they paid for and the steps taken beforehand to ensure everything was in order, the costs related to childbirth do not seem to be covered by insurance for the moment. Considering that childbirth is full of unexpected events and that billable interventions are impossible to determine, the couple remains cautious about knowing how much they will have to pay for their child to see the light of day.
Since the baby is due in January, the money accumulated from online sales in December will be there to help ease the burden of these unknown expenses.

The Grand Sapin is back for a 16th year in front of Sainte-Justine, ready to shine with its most beautiful lights for each family whose holiday season will be darkened by illness.
For the entire month of November, we will illuminate a light in the Grand Sapin for every 5 online transactions.

GOLDIE ♡
Goldie was born prematurely with serious complications
medical needs due to brain injury. Goldie has extremely complex needs, requiring a lot of medical equipment to stay alive. After 4 months at
hospital, she is now at home and her parents are single-handedly caring for her and her 4-year-old sister, Frankie.
Goldie is fed through a feeding tube, requires frequent repositioning, and her oxygen levels and heart rate must be constantly monitored. This means she requires round-the-clock care, which requires nursing support. Given Goldie’s precarious situation, doctors have stressed to her parents the importance of enjoying the time they have with her. This makes returning to work very difficult for them to contemplate at a time when the financial and emotional exhaustion is greater than ever.
Goldie is the daughter of my friend Michelle, a devoted woman,
radiant and fabulous. - Andréane
